17, Male: Yes, because they work longer and harder than the average college student.

 

30, Female: No, because they are still students in college and their main focus should be their education.

 

18, Female: Yes, because they are taken advantage of by the NCAA and are controlled.

 

18, Male: Yes, because they are generating a lot of money for the school and in some cases fund the whole school.

 

26, Female: Yes, because they spend a lot of time working on their sport and don’t have equal opportunity to make money as a normal student would.

 

28, Male: Yes, because if a band scholarship student can sell his music without risking losing his scholarship why can’t an athlete get paid for his performances.

 

18, Male: Yes, because the NCAA makes a lot of money and they can afford to give their athletes a small cut of the profit.

 

19, Male: No, because paying athletes might take away scholarships/ financial aid from average students and raise their tuition.

 

18, Female: No, because not all sports make a lot of money so certain sports’ athletes wouldn’t make as much money as other sports. This would create a huge gap in pay and create more equality issues.

 

60, Male: Yes, because they are hard working and treat their sport like a job so they should be paid as if it were.

 

46, Female: Yes, because they could get injured and risk their chances at playing professionally so they should be paid.
