The Pros and Cons of Compensating Collegiate Athletes

Abstract

Since 1852, college sports have been a staple of American Culture. Even people that do not follow professional sports, have a favorite college athletics program that they support. The athletes that make up the NCAA and give fans endless amounts of entertainment are exploited by this system and not given the same opportunities as their peers. In this Thesis I examine the pros and cons of this controversial debate and provide research in the form of five informative projects.
